At Pankanergaon, Nitin More, a science teacher, understood the biology of menstruation but had never openly discussed. That changed when he participated in the Menstrual Hygiene Management (MHM) Training of Trainers program with Aakar.
Equipped with new knowledge and practical tools, Nitin began challenging menstrual myths and encouraging open conversations in classrooms and communities. With the support of his colleagues, he created a safe space where girls could ask questions, share concerns, and seek guidance without fear or embarrassment.
Nitin More uses an educational anatomy apron in the classroom to teach students about the biology of menstruation.
Girls who once hesitated to talk about menstruation now openly discuss their concerns, seek support when needed, and manage their periods with greater confidence and dignity. Today, Nitin is more than a teacher, he is a trusted mentor and advocate for menstrual health, proving that meaningful change begins when someone is willing to start the conversation.
